Dutch designer Vincent Koenders’ Adapt coffee table is a strikingly vibrant and quirky piece with an unusual hidden detail.
The table comprises of a box painted in a brightly coloured, Cubist-influenced geometrical pattern. If you take a look underneath, you’ll see that the box is being held up with stretched arms by a man’s bust, coloured in yellow.
The piece, made to measure, is fully customisable, available in all colours, materials, dimensions and postures.
A young, up and coming designer, Vincent’s other designs are just as aesthetically pleasing. There’s a bamboo and wooden desk featuring a jigsaw of white coated triangles to create patterns at different angles of light; a minimalistic outdoor bench with a sliding component that can function as a table, bar or separating device, and a stunning carbon fibre table top with geometric oak trestles.
