Conran+Partners creates a 'charming and cheeky' interior for PURO Kraków Kazimier

London's Conran+Partners has designed the interiors for PURO Kraków Kazimierz, the flagship and sixth in a series of PURO Hotels. With an unconventional combination of cheeky and charming, it builds on the history and community of a "long-neglected" neighbourhood, absorbing its bohemian vibe and artistic spirit throughout.

This is instantly evident on entering the hotel, where you'll be greeted by a graffiti mural by Kraków native street artist Nawer. Elsewhere, Mateusz Szczypinski contributes two of his modernist cityscape collages to the spacious lobby, while Javier Martin’s iconic neon installation watches over arriving guests.

PURO Kraków Kazimierz also commissioned five Polish illustrators to create three different artworks inspired by their emotional reflections on Kazimierz. These unique creations hang in individual guest rooms, crafting an intimate artistic connection with the guest.

But it's not all about paying homage to Kazimierz's art scene. Throughout the 228 rooms and suites, PURO's characteristic sophistication plays a leading role as guests are greeted by Golran 1898’s Italian hand-knotted rugs and the warm glow of &Tradition’s Danish heritage lighting.

There's also furniture crafted by Denmark’s Carl Hansen & Son, Fritz Hansen, ByLassen, Mater and Gubi, Italy’s Moroso and Baxter, Sweden’s Fogia, and Spain’s Kettal. The result is a peaceful environment, housed inside ASW Architects’ stripped-back brickwork building.

Conran+Partners also designed the interiors for the hotel's standalone restaurant, an independent bakery and café, meeting rooms and an urban spa. Discover more at conranandpartners.com.
