Agua Fabrics introduces Oruga: A new high-performance, textured chenille collection.

Agua Fabrics introduces Oruga: A new high-performance, textured chenille collection.

Agua Fabrics prioritises texture and softness without sacrificing on technical ability, to ensure that each collection produced performs as well as it looks.

In this respect, its latest fabric, Oruga, is no different.

Comprising a textured chenille that combines a sumptuous, velvet-like texture with Agua's usual performance qualities, Oruga is extraordinarily soft, yet has all the ability of the world’s best technical fabrics.

Agua Fabrics introduces Oruga: A new high-performance, textured chenille collection.

One of the thicker fabrics that Agua offers, Oruga has a dense handle and a soft, hand-woven look, giving it an opulence that most performance fabrics don’t have. It takes colour especially well, available in a range of shades from deep blues through to vibrant oranges and greens. Its dual weave allows for subtle colour variation in the warp and weft, giving the fabric an attractive sense of depth.

Oruga is full Agua spec, fire retardant to Crib 5, stain-resistant, waterproof and anti-microbial. It also has a Martindale abrasion rating of 100,000, which is very rare for a textured and soft chenille. Essentially, it means it’s a very hard-wearing fabric, perfect for the commercial market including hospitality, healthcare, cruise, workplace and more.

Oruga is ready to order now. Visit Material Source Studio Manchester, Glasgow, and London, where Agua Fabrics is a Partner to experience its products in situ. Find out more, and plan your visit here.
