Benholm supports Claremont in bringing warmth, texture and vitality to HEINEKEN UK Edinburgh & London.

HEINEKEN UK set out to create two new workplaces that reflected the character of their global brand while supporting a more connected inclusive way of working.

Their goal was to design spaces that celebrated their Amsterdam roots and strengthened collaboration and wellbeing for their teams.

Working in partnership with Claremont as the Principal Contractor and design partner, Benholm Group was appointed to deliver planting across both the London and Edinburgh offices. The two projects were developed in tandem to ensure a consistent look and feel, with planting playing a vital role in softening the bold, brand-led interiors and enhancing the overall atmosphere of each space.

Benholm's approach focused on bringing warmth, texture and vitality into every part of both offices while reflecting HEINEKEN UK’s brand identity. The planting schemes were carefully coordinated to complement the materials, colour palette and layout designed by Claremont.

In Edinburgh, the standout feature is the impressive living wall on the rooftop terrace. This expansive vertical garden creates a lush backdrop for meetings and social gatherings and helps connect the workplace to nature in the heart of the city. Inside the building, planting flows through the bar and breakout areas, open-plan workspaces and meeting rooms. Built-in planters filled with vibrant greenery accentuate the curves of booth seating, while floorstanding and tabletop displays add softness and balance throughout the space.

In London, Benholm continued the same design language to maintain brand cohesion. Freestanding planters line workstation areas and define collaborative zones, with larger statement plants adding height and structure beside the meeting pods named after HEINEKEN UK’s famous brands such as Birra Moretti and Strongbow. Smaller potted plants bring natural colour and texture to the reception, bar and teapoints, helping to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Benholm provides ongoing maintenance for all planting across both sites, ensuring that every display continues to thrive and looks its best all year round. Our maintenance team visits regularly to monitor, refresh and care for each plant, allowing HEINEKEN UK’s teams to enjoy the benefits of greenery without any disruption to their work.

The new HEINEKEN UK offices in London and Edinburgh bring the company’s culture and values to life. The planting contributes to a sense of balance across both workplaces, creating environments that feel vibrant, social and connected, yet calm and comfortable to work in.

In Edinburgh, the new office was officially opened earlier in the year by Scotland’s First Minister, John Swinney, who unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
