Award-winning creative consultancy Motive has transformed the new Brixton headquarters of sustainable personal-care brand Wild into a fully immersive, brand-led workplace.

Working closely alongside design and build specialists Soul Spaces, the project translates Wild’s bold, playful identity into a spatial experience designed to support both rapid growth and strong company culture.

The brief was to elevate the experience of working at Wild while creating a space that acts as a physical embodiment of the brand — bold, playful, direct, approachable and warm — described by the client as “like a best mate on a hen do.”

From the outset, Motive took a light-touch, sustainability-first approach, adapting a largely functional existing office through carefully considered interventions delivered with design and build specialists Soul Spaces. Partitions were reworked to suit Wild’s open, collaborative culture, with investment focused on finishes, materials and bespoke brand installations rather than unnecessary construction.

As Sophie Simmonds, head of people at Wild, explains: “From day one it was clear Motive had really researched our brand and came prepared with thoughtful, brand-relevant ideas about how to truly make our office Wild.”

Upon arrival, the space makes its intentions clear. An outrageous pink, furry feature wall emblazoned with the Wild logo plants the flag for a tactile, joyous welcome.

The bespoke reception desk draws inspiration from Wild’s deodorant case, with flowers blooming from within — a playful nod to the product’s nature-driven ethos and sustainability credentials. The client’s early instruction to “drench the space in colour” is immediately evident, with organic forms and vibrant tones combining in a way that shouldn’t work — but does. A more-is-more approach establishes the expressive, irreverent character of the brand.

Visitors are invited to engage with the surroundings through a hot-pink gumball machine that dispenses mystery Wild gifts — a telling example of how the space is designed to surprise and delight.

As an odour-led brand, it 'made scents' — quite literally — to name the meeting rooms after Wild’s original fragrances. The spaces bring their individual aromas to life through feature rugs, bespoke console tables, pendant lighting and playful objects, from the rain-cloud installation in the ‘Thunderstorm’ boardroom to the radiant rug in the ‘Sunkissed’ room.

At the heart of the office, the all-hands social space opens into a generous open-plan area, anchored by a custom cabinet bar inspired by Wild’s deodorant case.

Wild’s products appear throughout the workplace, displayed on bold blue shelving and within a striking anti-gravity installation, keeping the brand constantly present.

For quieter working, two tiled alcoves interpret Wild’s “bathroom revolution”. Each features showerheads that emit light, controlled by hot and cold taps, allowing users to adjust the ambience as they would in a shower.

Rob Venice, founder and creative director at Motive, describes the project as a balance between Wild’s purpose and its fearless brand personality.

“Wild were a dream to work with. Balancing the powerful sentiment behind their cause with the absurdity and fearless playfulness of their brand shaped every decision we made in translating their story into physical space.

"We worked closely with the Wild team to push boundaries while weaving every element of what they stand for into the environment, so that from aroma to texture it’s impossible not to smile as you move through the space.”

That sense of joy runs through the workplace, from a dancing polar-bear mascot beneath a disco ball to hidden googly eyes snuck onto inanimate objects in unexpected places. The result is a workplace that is at once nurturing and outrageous, immersive and inventive. In a world of self-care — and office design — Wild’s new headquarters offers a joyful, colour-drenched alternative to the norm that puts personality at the heart of performance.
