sixteen3

sixteen3 designs and makes furniture in the North of England that brings comfort, clarity and connection to people and the places they’re part of.
They believe comfort has been oversimplified and overlooked; a complex and decisive principle in need of reconsideration. Physically, this means furniture that enables people to work, collaborate, recharge and think clearly. Emotionally, comfort creates trust, openness and belonging: places where people feel supported, welcome, and at home.
Founder-led and shaped by their in-house design team, product development is driven by principled, considered decisions around ergonomics, materials and construction. The result is furniture with rigorous design and functional input, resolved into simple, elegant outcomes with a light footprint. Their sustainability mindset is built around proximity, material responsibility and circular design. Using local suppliers, clever materials, and creating furniture for disassembly, repair and reuse - supported by a take-back scheme.
With every aspect considered and cared for – physically, emotionally, and environmentally – what sixteen3 creates is purposeful, enduring, and supports the way people feel and interact within the built environment.
