Masquespacio presents their latest project, designed for Piur, a pizza restaurant chain from Valencia.
The project started as always with an understanding of Piur’s brand strategy and the values expressed by the client from which honesty, the use of a fresh product, and a concept inspired by the Valencian origin of its founders was highlighted. An important requirement expressed by Piur was that visitors to Piur must experience moments of joy, personally or with their family and friends.
Thereby, the design first of all seeks to find a concept that could connect with the Valencian origins of Piur’s founders and at the same time could work as an attraction point for restaurant visitors.
Ana Hernández, creative director, Masquespacio commnets: “We decided to pay a tribute to one of the most important buildings of our city.” With the Central Market not only one of Valencia’s most relevant examples of Art Nouveau architecture was chosen, but also the most inspirational place for anyone in search of natural products of exceptional quality.
The finished design of Piur recognises clearly the emblematic ornaments from the Central Market’s façade through the wide variety of lights that create personalised corners and give visitors the opportunity to have a new experience every time they visit Piur; from a romantic dinner for 2 to a relaxed lunch with family or friends.
The material palette used echoes nature, such as wood and terracotta tiles. The color palette is also a reference to earthy colours, highlighted with a touch of red that symbolises the colour of the tomato as one of the main ingredients used to prepare a pizza!
Last but not least, the venue of 500 m2 has been designed to offer visitors a different experience every time they visit, creating a unique moment that disconnects them from their daily routine, with elements of comfort that reminds them of their own home.
