I wanted to get back to the reasons I was drawn to town planning - helping to make a difference to people, as well as the places that I have lived in - Emma Jones

Emma is an independent town planner who in November 2019, after 20 years in the industry working in corporate consultancies, took the plunge and founded her own business, Acer Town Planning.

She enjoys working on a wide variety of planning projects, from domestic extensions to stately homes, with her experience spanning a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, leisure and retail. Originally from Wales, she has lived and worked in Manchester since 2003.

Away from the day job she is kept busy by her daughters, husband and volunteering as chair of a local park friends group.
