FLOOR_STORY reveals 5 new rugs by 5 distinct creative voices.

FLOOR_STORY will return to London Design Festival and Shoreditch Design Week with 5 new rug collaborations, each born from "genuine creative dialogue".

In partnership with Spanish furniture brand Sancal and curated by Trifle* Creative, the Shoreditch showroom will be transformed into a series of roomsets, intimate, lived-in spaces where cutting-edge rug design meets Sancal's playful furniture.

This year marks a new chapter for FLOOR_STORY: 5 designers, 5 distinct practices, 5 rugs, each translating a different creative world into the language of rug-making.

Artist Lakwena Maciver introduces neon shades into FLOOR_STORY's palette for the first time with HOME PEACE, a graphic, arch-motif design in wool poms exploring belonging and rest.

Coco Lom draws on her daily commute through Hackney for East London Lines, a tufted rug of speckled shapes and contrasting tonal blues and greens inspired by the architecture of the Overground.

House of Quinn's Julius Arthur works with weave for the first time, hand knotting Arrangement in Nepal from 100% Tibetan wool, an assemblage of brushstroke marks and abrash dye that brings the feel of a painting to the floor.

Les Keepers' Jogakbo celebrates togetherness through hand-painted linework and patchworking, its clay reds and lemon yellows finished with a cut-and-loop pile.

POoR Collective's POWER takes its structure from the deck-access architecture of London tower blocks like Trellick Tower, flat woven in Mirzapur, India, as a tribute to the communities who live in them.
