LA designer Sean Knibb is behind the interiors for a refurbished mid-century hotel in Austin, Texas, with a mix of different surfaces and soft pink accents throughout. Working in collaboration with Austin architect Michael Hsu, the brief was to draw upon the hotel's natural surroundings and the Texan city's thriving creative scene.

Based in a modernist building, The Line Austin first opened its doors in 1965, known back then as The Crest Inn. It has since been updated by the Sydell Group with Knibb appointed to transform its 428 guest rooms, which include 108 suites, as well as its communal areas.

The eclectic scheme is an appealing mix of natural textures, exposed concrete elements and plywood touches, all set against a soothing backdrop of monochrome with cool greys and accents of baby soft pink.
