The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Bridgewater opts for both an elegant and ergonomic architectural ironmongery and hardware package with Allgood’s Modric collection.

RHS Bridgewater is the largest gardening project in Europe. Created on a 154-acre site at Worsley New Hall Estate, it has bloomed into a major horticultural destination for visitors across the country. Winning a host of awards, including RIBA North West Building of the Year 2022, the charity run a number of courses, events and workshops to enrich people’s lives within the natural world.

Allgood worked in close partnership with the established architectural practice, Hodder+Partners. The practice were invited to design a world-class visitor centre capable of welcoming up to 700,000 people each year within a decade. It has surpassed their wildest expectations, already seeing 500,000 visitors pass through its doors in the first year. The building has been designed to be predominantly one open plan space, encouraging visitors to flow freely between areas.

With this high footfall in mind, Allgood provided a comprehensive package of ironmongery and hardware from their most popular Modric range. Its simple, Bauhaus inspired design - which is developed and manufactured in Allgood’s UK factory - is made from grade 316 stainless steel.

The ironmongery plays a key role in creating a high-quality, yet robust, environment. Modric does this perfectly with its timeless design and enduring performance, it blends seamlessly with key architectural elements but also handles exceptionally high footfall with no issues.
