Arte launches new wallcovering collection Mysuru at Material Source Studio during LDF 2026.

"With its pleasant climate, impressive architecture and relaxed atmosphere, Mysuru is widely regarded as one of India’s most charming cities," says Arte of the inspiration behind its latest wallcovering collection of the same name.

"Alongside its magnificent temples and palaces, many yoga studios and colourful festivals, the city is celebrated for its flourishing silk heritage and verdant surroundings with palm trees defining the landscape. It is from this rich interplay of exquisite silk and softly swaying palms that the Mysuru collection draws its inspiration."

Launching during London Design Festival (14-18 September) at Material Source Studio London, Arte invites you to uncover exclusive insight from its team every day between 2pm and 3pm. No booking is required, just head to the Arte POD when you arrive at 120 Saffron Hill, Farringdon, any day this week.

Ahead of the launch, here's a preview of the sumptuous new designs and colourways offered with Mysuru.

Nilaya

Stylised huts are hidden among stately palm trees in this panoramic wallcovering, depicting a delightful place to escape the bustle of city life. Reflecting this feeling, the design has been named Nilaya, Sanskrit for shelter or abode. The landscape is framed by a detailed cannage pattern reminiscent of traditional geometric latticework. The scene is meticulously woven in genuine silk using the noble Jacquard technique. Available in four colourways.

Mandya

The Mandya wallcovering is crafted from luxurious silk. Through a cold-water dyeing process and the use of subtly varied silk threads in numerous shades, the design achieves an exceptional depth of colour. This gentle cold-water dyeing method also preserves the silk’s beautifully fresh, slightly raw character. Natural variations and subtle irregularities within the silk yarn give this wallcovering a distinctive, authentic and understated charm. Available in thirty colourways.

Aranya

The landscapes of Mysuru, renowned for its lush greenery and countless palm trees, were the inspiration for the verdant Aranya design. Featuring exquisitely fine embroidered palm leaves, Aranya means a quiet place among the trees in Sanskrit, a fitting name for this elegant wallcovering design. Available in three colourways.
