Forbo Flooring Systems launches Flotex Design Competition in support of Mind UK and Scottish Action for Mental Health.
Forbo Flooring Systems, in collaboration with Material Source Studio, invites you to take part in an exciting design competition to create a unique Flotex flooring concept.
This initiative proudly supports Mind UK and Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH), helping to raise awareness around mental health through the power of design.
Meet Flotex
Flotex is a high-performance, high-design textile flooring solution that combines the comfort and warmth of carpet with exceptional durability and hygiene. Its ultra-dense nylon fibre surface is designed to withstand heavy foot traffic while maintaining its appearance over time.
Easy to clean and quick to dry, most stains can be removed with just water, while its waterproof backing helps prevent mould and odours. With excellent slip resistance, acoustic performance, and a soft feel underfoot, Flotex delivers a safe, comfortable, and low-maintenance flooring solution for busy commercial environments.
Design with Purpose
This is your opportunity to express your creativity while contributing to an important cause. Selected designs will be showcased at Material Source Studio locations in London, Glasgow, or Manchester, offering valuable exposure and recognition within the design community.

All entries must be submitted by 1st December 2026. Winners will be selected by Forbo's in-house design team and contacted directly.
