FOLA, a creative agency working across communications, culture and experiences, has opened its new Lagos HQ.
Conceived as a hybrid workspace, showroom and cultural platform, the space was built around a simple idea: what would it look like if an African creative company reimagined the traditional office entirely?
The result is a carefully curated environment, designed by Sade Teyibo, FOLA's founder, in collaboration with John Asuquo on the overall architecture and build, Valerie Nizan, who sourced the vintage furniture that features throughout the project, and Tutu Awosika, who helped with insight on the overall flow of the space. It brings together fashion, design, art, and community under one roof.

Alongside FOLA's working studio sits an official fashion sample and editorial pull room, while the interiors feature a collection of vintage and contemporary pieces sourced from Lagos and Europe, including works by Annie Hieronimus for Cinna, Vico Magistretti and Matteo Grassi, alongside a rotating presentation of African art.
More than a workplace, the space functions as a platform for the wider creative community. It's used to host intimate dinners, conversations, previews, workshops, and gatherings that bring together artists, designers, founders, editors, and cultural practitioners across disciplines.
"What interests us most is not the office itself, but what it represents."

"For years, conversations around creative infrastructure in Africa have often focused on what is missing. This project was our attempt to build something that reflects the ambition, creativity, and cultural confidence of a new generation of African businesses", commented FOLA's founder Sade Teyibo.
"We didn't want to build an office. We wanted to build a world. What exists here could sit comfortably in Paris, London or New York, but it's rooted in Lagos, shaped by our community and unapologetically ours."
